Purpose

Educational content repository for managing, licensing, searching and reusing learning resources across LMS platforms.

Decision Summary

Specialized repository candidate that complements an LMS when content governance and OER reuse justify the complexity.

Use Cases

OER repositories, institutional media libraries, Moodle integration, metadata search, WebDAV and controlled content sharing.

Field Notes

Not a direct Moodle replacement. Define metadata ownership, copyright, licensing, retention and repository governance first.

Hardware Requirements

Official Docker deployment from version 7; production Linux with Docker/Compose or supported Kubernetes plus workload-sized RAM, CPU, repository storage and indexing.

Backup Strategy

Metadata/database, binary/object storage, configs, connectors, secrets, licence metadata, TLS and search-index rebuild procedure.

Recovery Strategy

Redeploy same version, restore metadata/objects, rebuild indexes, reconnect LMS and validate permissions, licences, previews and links.

Secure Boot Notes

Not directly applicable to this web/server platform. Keep Secure Boot enabled on supported host OS or hypervisor and use signed host components.
